I believe that Valentine's Day isn't just to celebrate couples, but to celebrate love and relationships everywhere. So I hope everyone got a chance to spend their Valentine's Day weekend with someone special! I had a fun-filled weekend with family and friends. So much fun, in fact, that I'll have to split everything up into three posts =). Hopefully these recipes and restaurants will inspire you to try something new for a change and spice things up with the ones you love!
Culinary Fight Club
Last Thursday, Justin and I started the weekend early by hitting up a restaurant near the United Center called the Ogden for an exciting Howaboutwe date. You are probably not surprised that I am a huge Food Network fan, so when I found out about an Iron Chef-style chili cook off, I had to go! Culinary Fight Club is a mobile event that allows three different local chefs to battle it out in the kitchen. Each fight consists of a different venue, food, and judges.
The open environment of the Ogden created a perfect venue for the cook-off. We took advantage of the open bar and also enjoyed some delicious asian wings. Towards the end of the cook-off, we were allowed to sample the chili and vote for our favorites. This event definitely made drinking at a bar 10x more exciting!
