To start off the first recipe, I will share my Tilapia Old Bay Fish Tacos. I had a huge bag of Old Bay seasoning which I have yet to really use, and it makes me feel like i am back in Ocean City, Maryland!
This was enough to make about 4 large fish tacos which I shared with my boyfriend, Justin.
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Pepper
1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
1 Roma Tomato
1/2 Red Onion
1/4 Cup Cilantro
1 Cup Shredded Red Cabbage
1/2 Avocado
1 Tbsp Lime Juice
4-5 Corn Flour Tortillas
Directions:
1. Prepare the taco ingredients by chopping up the tomato, onion, and avocado into small pieces
2. Toss tomato, onion, cilantro, and lime juice in a bowl and season with salt and pepper
3. Keep avocado in a separate bowl and add a dash of lime juice
4. Separate cabbage in another bowl and add an additional sprinkle of lime juice, salt and pepper
5. Thaw frozen filets then sprinkle Old Bay seasoning on both sides and add pepper. Old Bay is pretty salty so try not to over season.
6. Heat large saute pan over medium heat and cook filets for about 3-5 minutes until they start separating and become flaky.
7. Heat corn tortillas and fill your tacos with the fish meat and additional toppings and enjoy!
(If you like spicy tacos, I added chopped jalepenos to my taco which turned out delicious!)
